Pastor Search Information

We, the members of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, have experienced a great loss in the death of our Pastor of 21 years, Reverend Charles E. Wheat.  At this time we are accepting resumes of men who desire to lead a congregation in the position of Pastor.

St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church is a church designed for those who wish to experience the blessings and benefits of the moderately-sized traditional church.  It is a church where a premium is placed on the fellowship of the believer.  It is a church where we still engage in personal matters that are of interest to the believer.  It is a church where you can bury your loved ones, christen your babies, highlight important achievements, celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, and be a part of a family-oriented congregation.

We believe that greatness knows no size, so we strive for excellence in worship, living, and service to God and our fellow man. We are looking for believers in whom God has placed the need for and the desire to serve in this type of ministry.

Resume submissions should indicate area(s) of responsibility in ministry and clearly express experience in local church and community in which candidate currently serves, as well as past ministries. Include narrative(s) detailing ministry leadership, work begun and/or accomplished, outcomes, changes, and enhancements to the ministry, and personal lessons gained from the experience (i.e. better processes, team building, enhanced personal skill set, etc.). Other areas of interest are unity, evangelism, outreach, recruitment, and fellowship. State, national, and secular accomplishments that emphasize these qualities will be considered.
